The Devil is in the Details

I live in California, and with the quarantine in full effect, the new “normal” consists of spending more time alone than ever. Slowing down to a crawl has given me the opportunity to look closely at the little details of life. The old adage, “Stop and smell the roses,” would be quite accurate in this instance. Or I should say, “Stop and smell the roses wearing a mask…”

Some pics I have taken while walking along the neighborhood paseos with my loyal Australian Shepherd, Bella. Other images are from my very small home — where I have been spending a large amount of time. Go figure. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the randomness of these photos.

Bird of Paradise behind a wall.
A social distancing crow.
Weird plant.
Empty school or prison, you decide.
Doesn’t this tree look like a virus? (Or am I losing my mind?)
Baking scones because I’ve been watching The Crown and by some miracle I have all of the ingredients!
Pekka and Figaro…best frienemies forever.
The author and her loyal dog.
